a group of str (for tanks and infantry and optics), po hangs (for ciws) and dong hae (for aa) can do a lot of damage to a coastline i think naval integrates well with air and land forces, ships can do a lot of damage, but are quite vulnerable to antiship missiles and arty, always use them in groups and they will need to be looked after and microed wellīluefor's strengths are in maneuverability with many asm planes, their ships have good aa missiles and are very strong in coastal waters. I agree naval only maps are flawed, but on mixed naval and land maps such as strait to the point and another d-day, naval is well balanced within the battlefield and i see a lot of players using ships in 10v10 on those maps. Naval has a lot of depth to it, and its true that important techniques to use your ships effectively are not taught in any guide i have found. I'd happily make a guide if it would be made sticky I suggest reading it, however I can't guarantee that it will make you any better in Naval. But in the actual game, there is one tutorial about Naval. I'm sorry, but most probably no one will ever make a guide about naval due to the lack of interest in this mode. I want a guide, like this one, except one that's kept up-to-date and includes Navy. But I still want to know how it all works, balanced or not.Īnd I don't want in-game tutoring. I'm aware that there are many players with the cynical opinion that Naval combat is broken, and therefor dismiss any notion of understanding it. Second, if you want to learn something, join the Wargame Learning Program. I'm obviously missing something.įirst of all, I'd highly recommend you to stay out from the naval mode, it is BROKEN. For example, last night I had a 500-point Sovremenny and a 160-point Tarantul III get annihilated by one 200-point La Fayette in a close-range battle. There seems to be a lot about it that I don't understand, and isn't obvious from the ships' stats.
